About The Oil Engine Club
As a Club we meet every 3rd Monday of the Month from around 7.30pm 'til about 10pm at Wragby Town Hall for our social evenings - varying from public speakers to quiz nights and much more. We also organise nights out during the warmer months too, this year (2008) includes a Saturday Evening Barbecue at a member's house in Bardney in April, an evening trip to the Newark Air Musem in May, a tour and talk round the Castle Area of Lincoln in June and an evening visit to Thorpe Culvert or 'Quincy' Pumping Station in July, renovated over the years by dedicated enthusiasts, some of whom are Engine Club Members.
There is also a raffle when the meetings are at the Town Hall, donations of prizes from members are most welcome to add to those of the raffle organisers - Keith & Christine Newton, thank you.
We hold an Annual Club Rally too, this year it will be at Thorpe Camp Museum at Tattershall Thorpe, where we will exhibit our engines & bygones and meet up with friends old & new, come along and see us.
DID YOU KNOW....You don't need to own an engine to be a member, Membership is £10 per year per person and includes club liability insurance (BUT NOT ENGINE INSURANCE),
